Chicken coop repaired with recycled materials
I'm working on this old chicken coop I have that's been left outside and the weather has gotten the best of it. If you recall the theme of my channel is to reuse, to repurpose, recycle and repair.
Pallet wood, bed frame, washer/dryer and lawn mower wheels are the materials I used.

      @JOEZEP54 19 часов назад

      @anthonymadmanstricklandspo7818, I am not sure if what you are telling me is the clutch spins when you have it engage & it pulls the wires out. If that is the problem look for a bolt or some type of "retainer, for lack of a better word". The clutch should have a hole or a notch that a "retainer" would go into to keep it from spinning. Let me know if this was of help. Joe Z

    • @JOEZEP54
      @JOEZEP54 2 дня назад

      Thank you for watching and your question. I explained what I thought was causing this problem. In the end I am not sure if the valve adjustment or cleaning the carburetor out once again remedied the issue. It may have been a combination of all the above. It did surge when I first started it at the end of the video but smoothed out after cutting the lawn. This leads me to believe it was a carburetor issue. Maybe the smallest partial causing a blockage. Could not say 100%. Hope the issues I mentioned along the way was of some help. Stay safe, Joe Z

    You don’t need to run a wire, if the switch is good , when you turn the key to on mode not start, you will hear the clutch click , also use the multimeter put on Ohms continuity it will beep when you turn on and off the PTO switch with the PTO unplug d from the machine. Lastly some clutches can be adjusted with the three bolts, use a feeler gauge and set to specs.

    I have this same go kart but ive been trying to find answers on this for so long, the problem is when i pick up the back of the go kart the wheels move and the chain and clutch also move with it i dont really know whats wrong

    • @JOEZEP54
      @JOEZEP54 24 дня назад

      @jimiexplorationchannel2719, Thank you for stopping by. On the go kart in this video the clutch was rusty & very dirty. I do not work on go karts but was asked to get this one running. If yours is not moving check the clutch. It may be dirty, need oiling or just worn out. Be careful not to get any oil in the clutch drum or on the shoes. Let me know if this helped you out. Stay safe, Joe Z

    Joe, thanks so much for taking the time to make and post this video. I had tried everything, with the help of YTube videos and was ready to give up and call an electrician. And then I saw this video and fixed the problem. I had a faulty outlet.

    Extremely helpful. I found success at the WD40 step of the process, repeatedly blasting the location and restarting a few times, and eventually she stayed on. (mostly because I didnt want to take her apart) I found pulling the choke back as the instructions dictated always turned it off, so I kept it plunged in. Worked. 10/10 I wouldnt’ve known where to start otherwise

      LOL That is nothing compared to the time will spend taking care of them. On a positive note they are fun to watch and as time goes on you will learn ""better methods"" on taking care of them. If you can get a trailer to convert I find it the best way to go for a coop. Moveable if you change where you want to keep them and in most arears no permit needed. Check this video ruclips.net/video/baAkORto26s/видео.htmlsi=ceiWUXh7FB4fvp74 it is in Joe Zs Chickens playlist

    At the 2:40 mark where you have the pipe wrench on it you appear to be turning it clockwise. Unless it's left hand thread that would be tightening it, not loosening.

      @bobfellows6974 Good eye. You are correct. Bad editing on my part. I was turning back & forth to try to loosen it up. You can see I used the same procedure on frame 7:41. When I edited this video I did not notice I cut this part out. Thank you for watching & for your comment. Stay well, Joe Z

    On my mower, the pigtail that attatches to the back of the key switch had one wire that had been pushed back inside the plastic housing of the pigtail when it was joined to the key switch. I went ahead and plugged the pigtrail back in, then reattached that wire that had been pushed back, separately, to the back of the ignition switch alongside the others on the still intact pig tail. Apparently, that either was not causing of "nothing" to happen when I turned the key or my "rigging" it as I described, was not the right thing to do. Otherwise, I have replaced the battery, ignition switch, starter solenoid, the 20 amp fuse, the spark plug, and patched a section of the positive battery cable that had insulation missing and become frayed. Oh, I also dismantled the seat switch by taking out the metal peace inside the pig tail and did not hook it back up to the seat. I guess at this point, I will get a new pig tail for the ignition switch and wire it in to the existing harness. Hopefully, that will get it going. Any thoughts as to why nothing happens when I turn the key? Ty!

      @JOEZEP54 Месяц назад

      Thank you for stopping by & your question. I would try removing the kill wire that is connected to the coil. If it then starts it may be a short in the wire or a safety switch. If you do this be very careful because you cannot shut the engine off with the key. Can either choke it all the way or have an insulated plier to remove the spark plug. Let me know how the repair goes. Stay safe, Joe Z
